Egyptian Day - 7th June 2018
We will be asking the children to dress up for Egyptian Day on the 7th June and wanted to share some possible ideas.
Costumes can easily be made up at work with minimal resources being required. Attached below are a few links to give you some ideas. We will also share some images as possible ideas.
Hope this helps!

Maths Brain Teaser:
Last week in Maths we looked at the brain teaser below. The children worked in groups and some were very close to solving it!
Can you help them solve the brain teaser?
A man wanted to get into his work building, but he had forgotten his code. However, he did remember five clues. Here are what those clues were:
What were the five numbers and in what order?
Yesterday afternoon, Year 4 had an E-Safety talk by Katrina from Education Child Protection. She discussed steps the children can take to ensure their safety and privacy whilst online. The children were shown how they can report any form of online activity which is inappropriate.
At the end of the session the children were given the opportunity to ask any questions.
Over the next couple of weeks 4D will be making volcanoes as part of their geography learning and collages as part of their art learning. In preparation for these lessons I have asked the children to bring in any unwanted newspapers and magazines.
Bring in a toy day - Thursday 21st December 2017
As it is the last day of term children are allowed to bring in a toy on Thursday (no electronic toys allowed).
Year 4 Christmas Party
We will be having our class party on Monday 18th December after lunch.
Children are allowed to bring in a change of clothes for the party.
The children have already volunteered what they would like to bring in. We would be most grateful if you could try to avoid sending in anything with nuts.

Spellings Week 8 (Thursday 14th December 2017)
Children to revise all of their spellings since September. We will be having a bumper spelling test when we are back in January.
Don't forget to read for 20 minutes daily with an adult and record your reading in your "Reading Diaries". We will check your reading diaries to see how you are getting on. All literacy tasks for your child are in their homework books, as well as on our class page .
