Walker Primary School Inspiring a love of learning in a supportive community

Christ Church

Our Local Church
We have strong links with our local church.

“Christ Church is a thriving centre for the local community. The church building, opposite the school and the parish centre next door, mean the church has a strong physical presence within our local community.

Walker School aims to teach children about Christianity and other world faiths. Our RE policy and details of our visits to other places of worship are set out in the “RE and Community Cohesion” section.

The church itself is beautiful. One of its special features are amazing stained glass windows designed by Pre-Raphaelite artists including WILLIAM MORRIS, EDWARD BURNE JONES, ROSETTI AND PHILIP WEBB.

The church has a strong musical tradition and the junior choir welcomes new members throughout the year. It sings once a month with the adult choir at Choral Eucharist”.

Children at Walker visit the church both for special services (such as the Harvest Festival) and for talks and tours of the church. For more information, visit or contact Revd. Peter Jackson on 020 8886 0384 or email
