PE Programme Evaluation – Miss Shah (Year 3, Classroom Teacher)
Mr Cooper has supported my Outdoor PE lessons for the Autumn Term. He has also coached me in delivering a good Outdoor PE lesson. I have gained a better understanding of the key components of a good PE lesson: warm-up, introduce the key skill for the lesson, children to work individually, then in pairs, and then they progress onto a small or larger group activity/game, followed by a cool down. I feel more confident with my ability to deliver a good PE lesson. Furthermore, the children benefitted greatly from Mr Cooper’s expertise, and their PE vocabulary was enhanced as well.
Our most recent PE topic was netball and with Mr Cooper’s teaching, the children learnt several different passes, the basic rules of netball and we ended the topic by playing small netball games.
In future lessons I will strive to apply all the skills and knowledge I gained from Mr Cooper, thus delivering a well-structured lesson.
The children in Year 3S created artwork from the things they had learnt from the Autumn Unit Invasion Games. Well done 3S for displaying some brilliant art with fantastic use of PE keywords!
