Welcome to FOW
Who are we?
Friends of Walker (FOW) is a fundraising charity that raises money purely for the benefit of our Walker School. Some may refer to it as the PTA (Parent, Teacher Association) and most people are familiar with how PTAs run; just as the name suggests, parents and teachers organise events to raise money. There is a lot of collaboration and closeness between our parents and quite a lot of people take on roles and responsibilities to help each other. Everyone’s a volunteer.
Our committee consists of the following roles:
- Chair
- Vice Chair
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Class representatives
As well as the committee roles, we also have the following teams:
- Cake team
- Disco team
- Book team
- Uniform team
- Buying team
- Raffle and Sponsorship team
