Why Attendance Impacts Us All
In this video, our pupils explain why attendance impacts on ALL pupils.
Regular attendance and punctuality at school is very important for your child’s wellbeing. At Walker we take Attendance and Punctuality very seriously and are committed to working together with parents to increase the attendance and punctuality of all our pupils.
We want to give all of our children the best possible start in life.
We know that there is a close correlation between the amount of time children spend in school and the progress they make. Children who miss school are missing out on essential learning and social interaction.
Although being absent can sometimes be unavoidable, please note at Walker Primary School we expect all our children to aim for 100% attendance each half term and to be on time every day.

We are very proud of the partnerships we have between the school and our families.
Where attendance is a concern, we will work with families to achieve as close to 100% attendance over a 4 week period, before reviewing with the family.
