Dear Visitor
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you as a visitor to our school website and introduce myself to you as the Headteacher of Walker Primary School.
Walker school has a very special ethos where the staff, children and families work together tirelessly encouraging everyone to succeed from their starting points.
“Our About Us Section” will answer many of the questions you have about policies and test results. The class pages will give you a flavour of the creative and innovative work that is happening in classes, as well as our wonderful assemblies and visits to places of interest that support our learning.
We are an inclusive school and our aim is to inspire, challenge and support children and work effectively in partnership with families , so children feel they can accomplish anything.
We also want children to have a strong sense of values and we use the UNICEF Children’s Charter to promote a Rights Respecting school ethos in everything we do. Our values can be found here.
https://www.walker.enfield.sch.uk/rights-respecting-school/. We are a Silver Award school and are very proud of this achievement.
We have high expectations in all aspects of school life, from uniform to behaviour for learning & we are deeply committed to children taking on roles of responsibility in all areas of the school. We value partnership and communication with families and stakeholders.
The governors, myself and the staff continue to work on the agreed areas below as key priorities for the school in a quest to become Outstanding.
I look forward to meeting you all soon at one of our school events or on one of our guided tours which take place on Tuesday mornings at 9.30a.m. or Thursday afternoons at 1.30p.m throughout the autumn term. Please contact the school office to arrange a viewing.
Yours sincerely
Ms. Frances Warhurst B.Ed. Hons, NPQH, EPQH
